Our founding school partnership and the proving ground for the Venture For Good curriculum. Two cohorts per year, 100+ students per session, and over $5,000 raised in a single business fair.
Indian Hill School is where Venture For Good began. This is the school where the curriculum was first designed, first tested, and first proven to work — and it remains the program's most active site, running two full cohorts every year.
Each six-week cohort serves over 100 students through an after-school program format. Sessions follow the VFG curriculum framework: one lesson, one hands-on activity, and direct mentorship from the program facilitator each week. The program culminates in a student-run business fair where students pitch, sell, and give back.
The business fair is the capstone — and it's where students experience what it feels like to actually run a business. The winter and spring cohorts each end with their own fair, each with a different model for giving back.
The winter fair benefits a charity that students help choose. Past beneficiaries include St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The spring fair gives back directly to the school — and has raised over $5,000 in a single event, funding a new gaga pit for the school community.
Every cohort at Indian Hill generates three sets of assessments: from students, parents, and teachers. These pre- and post-surveys measure shifts in entrepreneurial knowledge, financial literacy, and confidence in pitching and public speaking. The data is compiled across cohorts to track program effectiveness and inform curriculum revisions.
This longitudinal data will eventually form the basis of publishable research on the impact of entrepreneurship education at the elementary and middle school level.
